DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

I welcome you to the National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital (NICRH), the country's only tertiary-level government hospital dedicated to cancer care. As we honour the memory of the July Martyrs, whose sacrifice paved the way for the freedoms and advancements we enjoy today, we are reminded of the importance of unwavering commitment, compassion, and community in the fight against cancer.

Since its inception, NICRH has been guided by these three core principles, striving to provide comprehensive care across prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. We take great pride in the progress we have made in integrating state-of-the-art technology with compassionate care. Through the incorporation of advanced equipment such as the Linear Accelerator in our Radiation Oncology Department, we have made a pivotal shift toward more curative treatment approaches.

To evolve into a true comprehensive cancer center, we have equally prioritized improvements across all disciplines of care. Supported by a dedicated team of highly qualified and visionary faculty members, NICRH remains at the forefront of cancer care in Bangladesh.

Our mission is to coordinate and integrate all our cancer-fighting efforts into a seamless, comprehensive program. I am continually inspired by the dedication and teamwork of all those involved in this critical work. With the ongoing support of our friends and partners, we will continue to advance in our mission. I am deeply grateful to all who contribute to this collective effort.
